- Identity and access management provider Okta launched the Blueprint Alliance, a cross-industry coalition formed to help organizations securely operate their agentic stacks, the company announced on Tuesday. The alliance has 11 channel heavyweights as its founding members: CrowdStrike, Zscaler, AWS, Google Cloud, Databricks, Docker, Lovable, Proofpoint, Salesforce, ServiceNow and Wiz.

Agentic AI has proliferated in industries like software engineering, finance and customer service. By 2028, an average global Fortune 500 enterprise will have more than 150,000 agents in use, but only 13% of organizations currently believe they have the right AI governance in place, according to research from Gartner.
The Blueprint Alliance calls for organizations to secure agents by first detecting and cataloging each agent, whether internally built, imported from third parties or deployed without the IT teams’ knowledge. Each agent must be continuously checked for vulnerabilities and misconfigurations, according to the framework.
Once companies identify every agent, the Blueprint Alliance recommends adding access policies and maintaining runtime authorization and monitoring to track agentic activity. If monitoring detects a threat, precise controls should stop an agent instantly and restore it when appropriate.
Okta refers to these strategies as the “blueprint for the secure agentic enterprise.” For companies like CrowdStrike, joining the Blueprint Alliance means advancing open, interoperable architecture that helps organizations deploy AI agents securely at scale, according to CrowdStrike Chief Business Officer Daniel Bernard.
“AI is reshaping the enterprise, and security has to be foundational to everything that comes next,” Bernard said in the press release. “No single technology or vendor can secure the agentic era alone.”
In the agentic AI era, Okta’s partner-first strategy is a key part of its customer success, according to Padilla, who said that the company is seeing growth in partner bookings, with more than 80% of deals including partners.
“We see our partners at the forefront of our customer conversations,” she said. “So we plan to train our partners to be the architects and experts as they design and build the right AI security story for each of our joint customers. The $350 billion AI services market is opening. Partners who move fastest and position themselves as identity architects will own it.”
